New exciting things afoot for Green Rooms rehearsers Vinna Bee

Vinna Bee is a collective, a duo, a band, a project, but mostly the single visions of Sian Williams supplemented by partner Andy, and helped out by various members of their musical collective. VB are all these things at once, and have an interesting history. Remaining true to their Celtic roots, based in Wales, Vinna Bee have been exploring the relationship between us and nature as expressed through music. They describe their sound as, “somewhere between The Singing Ringing Tree, the soundtrack to The Wicker Man and PJ Harvey. Could be psych, folk, electronica, lo-fi that’s the way they like it – original! Their album release show will be on Saturday 20th April at Clwb y Bont, so get down there and check them out.

Quatre Femmes Records Say……The first single release will be here very soon and we will announce it on 11th March. There will be some exciting remixes by some other musician friends coming soon!

Friday Bridges play their first headline show at The Green Rooms, Treforest with Casino Thieves, Bringing Back Tomorrow and Messages From Manhattan. It’s only £3 and there is a DJ on after their set!!

Thanks to all the wonderful bands that turned out to play and all the lovely supporters that brought down fantastic donations, we were completely overwhelmed with the amount that we received, and cannot thank you enough. A special thanks goes out to ‘Street Unplugged’ who worked had to secure some massive donations from some huge companies and the bands: Wayne and Vanessa, Beasts, Silverdust, Kinky Wizzards, Peter John, This is Wreckage, Chaos in the Afterlife, Richard Staines and MonisM.

We sorted the donations this morning and took them down to The Huggard Center, It took TWO cars to take them down! The guys at the Huggard Center were very pleased with the donations! And I’m sure that they will make some peoples winter’ a bit more comfortable.
