29th May 2010

Starting the night in fine-punk fashion were the Pop punk-esq One Track mind.  If you take a look at their bio on their Myspace site- they don’t take themselves too seriously which is great- but they are a good live band!  Boppy music  that you can jig along to with a few classic punk covers like  Green Day ‘In the end’ and a new song which stood out called ‘Back to you’ they are certainly entertaining and got the crowd singing along.  Finishing on a high with a pop-punk version of  ‘I believe I can Fly’ they started the night well for the other bands!  Check them out here!

Gun Smoke City up next- Good commercial sounding (and I say that in a good way!) Lost Prophets with a pop punk edge is the only way to describe this band.  Hailing from Newport it was their first time back after 6 months of writing and recording.  You might know them better as ‘Panz Agenda’ but with a fresh start they are now called Gun Smoke City.  They are an energetic, entertaining band to watch and they have played alongside some big acts such as Wheatus and The Automatic and are quickly gaining a bigger better fan base with their new line-up and name change.  Check them out here!

Blackwaters headlined the night kicking off their set with a heavy rock version of ‘Boom! Shake the room’ they are a very experienced band with excellent fret-work. They do rock-edge covers intermingled with originals.  They came back to the Green Rooms with a new singer and are obviously a close knit band that play well together.  They played a brand new song for us called ‘Robin Hood’ and ended the night on a high with ‘Summer of 69′ which got the crowd dancing.  Check them out here!

Sorry, we forgot our camera – so there are no photos of this gig!   If you have any of this gig that you would like put on our website send them to us at thegreenrooms@live.co.uk
