Pus presents…….

14/05/10 The Pus boys (now there are 4!) Brought the amazing Ghast, Atomck, Spider kitten to The Green Rooms for a fine night of awesome music.

Up first were the ever enjoyable Pus, their first gig with Huw on drums, they have musically progressed since the last time we saw them with a more intensive sound which is more structured yet doesn’t compromise their unique style. You can tell that these guys are now a solid band with good, heavy, solid sounds. We love Pus. Check them out here!

Atomck were back with a new drummer – which is insane as they last played the Green Rooms with a Ipod drum track, we weren’t too sure whether the drummer would be able to pull off the same fast-paced, mental drumming that was used on the drum track last time but we were very pleasantly surprised! They are a wicked band that give awesome short, intense blasts of grind-cum-black metal. Their timing is great their vocals are awesome and they are a great live band. Check them out here!

Spider kitten played an awesome set which can only be described at slow, down-trodden sludge-core. With the hard-hitting drummer from Taint. They are loud which is exactly what you want from them and add the noise with white noise samples being passed through pedals and laptops to add to the whole experience. They played the longest slowest song on earth with the most intense bass solo. Be fair to Spider kitten they are always exceptionally enjoyable and always bring something different. Ghast – headliners for the night and a truely amazing band brought their slow doomy tortured sounds that easily morphed into fast paced relentless black metal. They hail from the depths of West Wales and we were lucky to have them at The Green Rooms. They incorporate anguish screams and ravaged guitar sounds, thumping drums and a heavy heavy bass line. A truely amazing band – officially the loudest band we have had at the Green Rooms so far! Check them out here!
