Metal and more Metal \m/
20th March, the day the skies around Treforest turned Black as 4 metal bands descending upon the Green rooms with their own brands of ear assault, maniac drummers, 6 string wielding axemen and wild frontmen.
First up to the challenge were Outgunned. Metal with varying tempos, big frontman striking his bass whilst giving us heavy gruffy vocals, with songs like “Out numbered”. This is heavy thrash with a technical edge, lots of changes within songs (songs within songs???), the guitarist constantly swaying and banging his head wildly whilst shredding. Check this band out HERE.
Next up were the mental metalcore band ‘This is Suffering’. Energetic, heavy and intricate guitar work with heavy beat downs. An angry frontman striding up and down projecting his voice around the room whilst the rest of the band play a really tight set behind him. They are currently recording a 5 track E.P. which will soon be released upon the world. Check them out HERE
On next were Darksite. Reminded us of Spineshank vs Pantera in a cage match. Riffs from hell thanks to Adz, sporting his one of a kind DBZ guitar and fed through his Large chrome box producing a crazy sound, which he called a Diamond amp. Double bass kick drum beats followed by raging vocals give this 4 piece an extra edge, waiting on a new demo to be produced, check em out HERE.
Last but not least were the mighty and very experienced Fell on Black Days, flawless (minus the promoting of a gig elsewhere). Hard hitting drums, beaten down bass, talented guitarists, mental frontman, blasting out heavy heavy (that heavy we have to say it twice!) songs as “Bring out your dead” and “Promises, Promises”, dedicating the last song to Darksite “Bone of contention”. Check these guys out HERE.
