Pus presents… Unorganised Chaos!

Well done to the Pus boys Rob and John for another night (19th Feb) of Pus fueled Mentalness.

What started as an unorganised chaos with Recluse having to pull out due to illness, came together and turned into an awesome evening.  Pus kicked off the evening in inspiring form with the aid of their latest addition – frontman Bvrserk.  With their guitar strings so down-tuned that they were practically hanging off  (we’re sure that they have invented a new key- we’ll call it the key of durge!) and with Bvrserks anguished, guttural vocals these guys have really brought something new to The Green Rooms.  Both fearless and cutting edge- they left a lot of people stunned and speechless.  Good on them for having the conviction to get up there, do what they love and know that they are good at it!  Take a look at Harvey Milk to get an idea of where these guys are coming from.   Check out this link for Pus!

Next up were the awesome Kill it with Fire, even though this was their first gig, this is a group who play together like a band that has been gigging for years.  Catchy metally, punk-rock that immediately got the crowd dancing, these guys are really good – so good in fact that the crowds practically brayed for more! It looked like the crowd was not going to be content until they got their encore – and were only silenced by Eoghans promises of an amazing dub-step DJ set.  They have just got themselves a new facebook site here- so check it out and become a fan!

As promised, Eoghan stepped in for the absent Recluse and wowed the crowd with a Dub-step DJ set.  Not entirely sure if most of us knew what to expect – but it was amazing and enjoyed by all.  Considering he has only been doing it a couple of months, his mixes were spot on.  It got the crowd dancing (nice robotics Bvrserk, and some fresh moves from Rob and Jon!) and finished the night off perfectly!
