Nineplan Failed, Lecarla & The Effect live!!
This night was all about performance. Hadron Collider were supposed to be here, but failed to turn up. So first up were The Effect – a young and fairly new band from Swansea. Even though these guys were young, nevertheless they are a talented band, full of energy and determined to make an impression – they certainly did that, we were impressed. These guys are certainly ones to watch with their catchy indie rock tunes, go support them at their Surface unsigned gig in Bristol. Check out their myspace here.
Next up were the talented Lecarla, all the way from Milton Keynes. This band have been playing their hearts out all over the place and we were lucky to have them play here. This band were tight and performed well as a group, with the experience of playing many live shows showing though. Describing themselves as the British Paramore is fairly accurate but by no way a copycat band – original tunes, circle headbanging and full of raw talent. Go see them live, buy their EP and get the T shirt before they hit the big time, check them out here!
To finish off the night were Nineplan Failed, kicking off their set with an instrumental song is far from the norm, but then these guys aren’t your normal run of the mill band. Blasting out songs such as Survivors & Turn the radio up, some of their influences start to show through like early Cure meets Therapy?, always good. These guys are back supporting Darling Waste (USA) on 9th April to give everyone a chance to see them. This band work hard! and play hard too! Check out their myspace here.
