Fantastical night of good music!
An interesting night for a particularly awesome line up- but a gig on a Sunday did not stop High demand, Captain Fantastic and His Three Funky Beans and The Secret Enemy playing an awesome gig!
The Secret Enemy kicked off the evening with some high-energy, punk-tastic original tunes intermingled with some fantastic covers that got everyone up and ready for action. Finishing off their set with an explosive version of Bonnie Tylers ‘I need a Hero’ they are catchy, entertaining, confident and are due to be back on new Years Eve – we are looking forward to it! Check out their myspace here
Captain Fantastic and his Three Funky Beans were true to their name – fantastic! They are an amazing band to watch live, they are not only incredibly tight as a band, perform some fantastic songs, entertained the crowd with witty banter and are very obviously a mature band that has played well together for years – the band have an awesome rapport with each other that stems not only from three of them being brothers but also all four being good friends. They have an interesting range of material and getting their EP is a must! check them out here
High Demand ended the night with a bang – a band who although they are young have a lot of talent and should be looking forward to great things in the future if they keep going at this rate! They are not only making some really interesting music but are creating a name for themselves and gaining a strong band of followers. Footstomping catchyness, a mixture of heavy, mellow, pop and everything in between. Apparently they were minus a bassist – (we didn’t notice) the band were confident and talented enough to pull this gig off. Check them out here!
